I have had this since 1995. A friend introduced me to W40K. He had only two rhinos. I took a look at their simplicity and I told him that I could make him one close to the original out of paper. He looked skeptically a me and said the ever indirect dare "Yeah...Right." I borrowed one of his Rhinos and one week later I presented him with the paper model and the schematic plans.:eek::eek::eek::eek: And I showed him how to make his own.:mrgreen:

I will post the plans on JPEG format until I Get the instructions together and under control. Enjoy the model since it is copyrighted, I cannot sell it. So you come out winning:wave::wave::wave::wave:

The begining

This build is just the basic. The parts sheet do not cover some of the details in the build. The simplicity of the model is straight forward and when finish and painted it is an outstanding model. One of the notable differences are that it is slightly longer than the original and I have added an extra roadwheel to the unit. Four roadwheels did not look right to me.

Continue build

The plans were done the old fashion way, Drafting pen, ruler and protractor.

Eventually I will use Paint (Pain) Shop for coloring and making the different chapters, but that is for another day. So on with the SHOW:wave::wave::wave:

Great and simple build.

Because I added the extra roadwheel, you will have to make a copy of the roadwheels sheet. I will update this Rhino in the future, like making the twin bolters or other armaments. On the one I did for my friend, I borrowed some of the plastic parts, but with this one, I will attempt to keep it all paper product.

one step at a time......

One thing about paper, it is more forgiving than plastique. You make an error on a piece, print another one out. Unless your kiddies or puppy get a handle of the model in progress, and you have to start over again.:wave::wave:

Wheel and tracks

Almost finished. Keep track of some of the details. Those parts are not in the parts list and you have to scratch build. Nothing big but makes the model better.

The LeMan Russ I made has a pintle mounted bolter in the options parts along with a dozer blade...or if you want twin linked bolters, pinch the ones off the Razorback add-on parts. The scale will be right :)

It is on my project to build sometime later, I'll check it out. By the way, the other vehicle I did for my friend was the Le-Man russ, but I lost my sketches. But since you got it done, I'll use yours.......:wave::wave::wave:

Not quite finish with it, I have a few details to add to it. More to come, I forgot the hinges on the side hatches. I just finished the front spade and redid the bottom of the hull. Working on the guns now.

Nearing the End........

Almost there. By all reasoning, it is finished but I want to add weapons to it, so I am working on the Bolters now. The Last pic is a test color build for the Ultra Marines..........:wave::wave:

The end

announce1Finally I am at the end. The twin bolters are done and installed. I did not make any templates for them because they are too small and intricate. It is up to the individual to either build them from scratch or use the loose parts bin for them. At this point I have to stop. Any more embellishment will be over-kill. I enjoyed making this particular Rhino. This one is much better than the one I did for my friend. Enjoy and good luck to who-ever attempts this build.

I have amassed a great deal of paper models from all of you who have contributed to this forum. This is my contribution to all of my fellow model makers and aspiring modelers.

Now I have to put all of this info together to give you a better product and work on my next project. I am considering the M-II Viper done my way......:wave::wave::wave:
