Lookin' better each with each upfate! Go Getter!
Thanks for the great compliments
Got a little more to show. I eliminated the back treads that I designed in Shiryu due to inaccuracy. I completly re-designed them by hand and they are shown in the pics below.
I've started on the head unit (Volt Cruiser) but haven't taken any shots as my camrea's batteries are dead and charging Also the hands will most likely be replaced. I can make new ones like the ones I've seen on free sites but they tend to be boxy. Voltes' hands like many Super Robots are rounded.
Enjoy the pics, more to come
Here's some shots of one of the treads assembly.
EXcellenT! VEry great looking now! CAn't wait to see this fully produced and what not!
Nice work buddy, the build (as usual with you) looks very clean indeed! Well done.
The robot mode is nearing completion. I'm now down to the funky bits (hands and head). When I complete those it's laying out the parts sheets and getting them textured. I may try to get it set up for color paper printing. I've become quite the fan of that method
I really love what you did with the Volt Panzer's Tracks!!!
The assembly looks so simple yet it pops just the right detail!!!
Hey G1, how goes the progress would love to see some updated pics.:thumb:
Haven't worked on it since Sunday It's just been one of those weeks and it just won't let up at all
Sorry to hear that, hope everything is ok.
Well the week is almost over Hope to get a lot of rest and model time in this weekend
Well Here's a pathetic update.
I've got the hands done. I cheated on this part as they came from another model
I also re-designed the lower legs but I won't need to replace them on the prototype.
And finally I have the Volt Cruiser started. So it's only the main body section that mounts on the back. Alos note it's not complete yet as I still need to add intakes, fins, and the thruster assembly. Then it's the head and weapons.
I took a shot of it next to my build of Rlc321's Alex Gundam built a 1/2 it's intended size
It's getting there
Wow G1 this is looking better and better each time I see it. That gundam looks top notch as well, By know I expect to see no less from you, your builds are always so clean and precise, I'm a little jealous actually....j k:mrgreen:
Thanks for the kind words though there is a price to pay for being such an hyper perfectionist If things start to go wrong they tend to get shelved and if you've seen my backlog of kits you'ld know what I mean.
My biggest worry is I have more kits than I can possibly build in 2 lifetimes Oh and that was before I discovered paper models
Well back on topic, not much more to go on Voltes' bot mode. I just waiting for that burst of inspiration to get hte head done
hay john how about this for inspiration voltes v II enjoy the pic
Wow... that's wicked!!!
Hey sir Rob, is that one just a concept, or there's actually a sequel to the Voltes V saga?
Yeah Rob, where did the pic come from? They've re-done several series now like Jeeg, Gaiking, Gunbuster, and Getter Robo, so who knows? Maybe they are re-doing Voltes???
Either way, fan art or revision it's a sweet pic
Hi there!!! How are you sir? And any updates to the model sir? :-D
Sorry Hans, haven't worked too much on it latley.
I've been wraping up a little project I started before this one and also I've been working on the Voltron model by Voltron 5 in my spare time (which has been very little of late ).
I have worked on a few parts though. The sword is nearly done. I also aquired permission from the designer of the hands to use them on my model
I hope to get back at it soon.
Ah I see!!! Just take your time sir!!! Keep it up!!! :-D
