I build internal, form-giving frames from the front-end and the aft-end of each section, that way they fit together perfectly. But your solution is very nice, too.

I think we have to introduce another category. Jan's model can never become a "model of the week" or a "model of the month". It is definitely a "model of the year" if not a "model of the decade"!!!! :thumb::thumb::thumb:

Agreed on model of the year, but to be fair... Uhu does some fantastic stuff too, so he might be in the running...

Bump indeed. Lookey what I found. I can't wait for Jan to get this done, but in the interum I found a nifty version of this model that looks to have at least the same level of detail.:thumb:

Well..... I've been on the net since it was nothing more than a communications system, or ordering and supply system for the US Military... I have friends that do CG, I know a few people that I wont name that worked, or work in the business, I've been gaming since "Pong" and I've been collecting models and data files since the beginning of the BBS's, not to mention the fact that if I can't find it, don't have have it and can't buy it, I'll make it, if I have to do it myself, whether in the computer, or by hand. I've been a science fiction fan since I was 6yrs old in 68, so that's the short version of the answer.

    Thanks, Jan!

The delay is no problem for me, as I'm behind your published groups anyway. As long as the model will be finished in August 2012 I'm happy - I want to show it at the "Darmstadt SpaceDays 2012" (http://www.spacedays.de) then.

I think with all the wonderful work you have been putting out that we can understand asking a little time off.
