upload sketchup

    right well since ive been looking and download ing and taking so many great projects from this site, i thought id give for once. ive designed a gatling gun/minigun from a book ive been writing for a little bit now and thought id put it in pepakura form. always been found of a good gatling gun. but ive tried uploading google sketchup7 files into pepakura and i get nothing coz it doesnt know the file. ive seen people upload sketchup files, but how?plz help me my fellow modelers.

    You need to export the 3d model in google earth 4 (.kmz) File > Export > 3d Model...
    but make sure the file type is google earth 4.

    that makes no sense. could you tell me how to get it like that.

    now ive got you. but ive loaded it into pepakura and its justa mess. when u fold it, it makes the pieces, not the gun

    True, true.

    It's a question of how do you make the model in sketchup.

    Make a simple form, like a brick, and when you export it succesfully, start making changes to it and see if it still exports. You'll find what makes a model unexportable and You'll be able to avoid it when creating new models.
