Update on the layout

I have been working on a mine scene on top pf the mountain.
It will not only provide an industry in the area but also a view block to hide the return loop when viewed at track level.
The mine building is being built from an incomplete AHM coal tower and some left over corrugated tin parts from a Suydam kit.

I used wood to build the walkways and railings and Styrene to build the stairs case.

Some interior walls and beams are installed so the building doesn't look empty.

I built a guide attachment for the milling machine to feed some N scale rail through and mill it down to .045" high.
Brass ties were soldered at the ends and wood ties were glued in to make the 18" gauge track. The track inside the building was glued directly to the floor.
A turntable was made from a brass washer and short pieces of rail.

That's a beaut of a mine Ray. Nicely weathered and rugged looking. Your fascia is looking good too, by the way. Nice finished look.
