Armour Yellow and Harbor Mist Gray; don't have an answer for your manufacturer question. In the past, I've used brake fluid to remove paint--be sure to wear gloves and eye protection and keep an eye on it!

Unless they have changed their formula, Athearn shells are made witrh pretty tough styrene. You can use brake fluid, Pine Sol, or Scalecoat Washaway. Kato and Atlas plastic is much more delicate and you have to be more careful with what you use on those to strip paint.

I've used brake fluid on just about every manufactuers loco's. Only had a problem with an old Tyco. It kinda disintergrated the small details, and made the plastic brittle.
