This is crazy scale work. I wouldn't have believed you can cram so many details into a model. Your work is awesome.

Looking marvelous as always. I love how you do those lights too. That's a model within a model. Superb.

    Hi all
I've just come back form business trip. I've not updated for awhile. I found 'Blub color LED' in Japan. Its size is 3mm , suitable for model making. I've set up roughly and tested how it's looked like. The warm color makes very realistic lightening. I connected to 2.4V(1.2V x 2,Ni-Cd AA size Cells) directly without resister. The brightness seems to be OK. I tried with 3.6 (3cells). It was too bright and could damage to LED if connect without resister.

    Do weathering
Water and rust stain on the water tank.
To do weathering of overflow water dried up and leave white stain on the tank. I used Tamiya's weatering set B (snow). Brush white on top of tank lightly. Then rubbed the sponge brush tip down. Now I got a light water stain.

    Water stain lines
Make brighter stain lines. Use brush edge to add white line and rubbed it down.

    Rust line
I used Tamiya's weathering set C orrange rust. Modelers may use other colors (dark brown , light brown ect.) depend on their favorites.
Do painting same method as water stain line.

Looking well weathered. It's one of my favorite parts of model building. Don't know if you are going for the museum (preserved) look or that of when it was in use. I would think the preserved look as the in use one would need lots of weathering. I don't think this bad boy saw to much of the inside of anything including tunnels.

Great work .. I'm thinking now that the weathering has made an appearance you will be nearly done the tender..?? Now that you have got your sleeves rolled up are you ready for the main body of the locomotive or will you do the drive train first?

    Hi Ronson
The tender is nearly done. I'll do part numbering and make assembly instruction before building the engine.
