I did want to put the picture of the whole thing up there but the size was just too long and short.
Definitely a well deserved picture though!
This is an awesome design and build Kooklik and I have wanted to see it up front for a long time now! Great job!

    Finish?

I hope it goes on forever...and at some time I might even be able to show my attempts at building it.

Is it just me, or are most of the picture links in the middle parts of this thread still broken?

I just discovered this thread a couple days ago and have been going through the whole thing. Like everyone else, I am absolutely amazed at what you've done kooklik, and at the same time, inspired to take my model building to another level. I'm also beginning to rethink designing - either to quit and leave it to experts like you, or again, challenge myself to another level. If I ever manage to actually finish the projects I've started I've got some ambitious plans for future developments, and what you've done here will provide me with a lot of information and inspiration.

Thanks for a fabulous thread - and I can't wait to build this model.

    Hi Steve

I'm glad to hear that my work is one of your good samples. I think everyone here can do as me. If they always fill inspiration to their minds.
I love submarines and I want my own designed model be in my shelf.

    Best Regards

I think Kooklik fooled everyone when he built this 1/6 scaled sub and photoshopped the metal scale/bookshelf. =x =p

Nah... Kooklik would never do such a thing as photoshopping, right? ^_^

The Sharkhunters group in Orlando, a group of retired sub guys(German and American I think) Would love to see this. I have a Autographed print of the capture of the 505, signed by Hans Goebler. He was the one who left the main drain valve on the floor instead of tossing it overboard, alowing the Americans to capture the boat. He said he is always impressed by the desire of modelers to make accurate models of his sub.
