What a Beauty :thumb: You SIR, did this F1 Classic full justice. Very clean and very sharp build..... this would look great on the FRONT PAGE  The thing about wheels is that the components {especially at this scale} have to be bang on with the scoring of glue tabs, and LOTS of patience.... you showed us you have both of these :thumb:

Great Idea !

I also fund this stuff called "Liquid Electrical Tape". It goes on like a thin liquid rubbery solution and dries like hard rubber. I also am going to try that for effect.

What a brilliant idea - i know the stuff you are on about John, and not once did this go through my head to use it this way, i will give it a spin when i get chance. :thumb::thumb:

Thank you, Im flattered. The wheels gave me the most frustration, but the end result made it very worthwhile :eek:ops:

small update!

I was in Toys R' Us with my son, and he found this in the Hotwheels.

My brother in law just came back from Japan with this same model. Different company, I don't read Japanese, and it is pretty big. I'll have to post some pics of it. I hope I can make it as nice as yours!! :)

Excellent built!!!!I have tryed building this twice in the past in 1/43 with disappointing results.I especially like the glaze of the body parts. How did you achieved this? With photo paper or some kind of lacquer?

That was on accident. When I got it printed out for me, the guy mistakenly printed it on semi-matte paper. he offered to reprint it, but I told him i wanted to try it with the semi-matte. Sometimes the accidents make for better results :)

That's interesting Rick, apparently, you did not have any gluing issues either. Thanks! :)

You could do commercials for Elmers. Your use of that glue is the best I've seen! :)
