I'd have to check my Aerofax book on the 'Bear' for all the details, but the Tu-114 only shared the wings, main landing gear, and powerplants with the Tu-95. The fuselage, and especially the nose gear were completely different between the two types. IIRC, the tail planes and rudder were also different between the 114 & the 95. It was this lack of commonality that caused the 114 to be more expensive to manufacture than was hoped for and eventually led to it being replaced with jet powered alternatives. I also vaguely remember that the very tall nose gear on the 114 vs. the 95 produced a variety of complaints from pilots and ground crew which also shortened its operational life, but I could have that wrong.
