    This is the thread I will be posting all my weathered freight cars in. And, when I finally gather the guts to weather the engines, this is also were they will be posted. Hope you guys enjoy them!! I enjoy just looking at them on the layout. All of these have been weathered Deano's (UP SD40-2) Easy Weathering Tutorial. Im also going to start chalk weathering and dry brushing and combining all 3 tecniques together in one to achieve the best results.

    UP/BNSF Intermodal Freight Train

    Here are some pictures of my weathered intermodal double stacks. I have 9 of them and all are loaded with weathered containers.

    This is a fairly short train but it is all the intermodal units I have at the moment. Here they are. The train consists of a UP Dash 9 (C44-9W) and a BNSF Dash 8-40B pulling a 5 unit double stack train and 4 other stand-alone units.

    All of these freight cars need to have the trucks and wheels rusty weathered too. Will do that with chalk and dry brushing though.:thumb: :D :thumb:

    Looking really nice, especially the first set of intermodals, did you custom paint and decal the containers?

    Good job :thumb::thumb::thumb:

    Thanks For the compliments. Nope all those containers are from Walthers. The only thing I did was weather them.:thumb:

    sign1 It's ok Steve, you are not the only one and Im sure you will get around to it one day

    Thanks Steve and Steven

    BTW, Steven, those track plans look pretty cool and Im glad too see you got the foam layed down.:thumb: :thumb:

    Ok, so today I recieved some e-bay stuff and one of the items was a BNSF gondola. Already put it together and it will be in the mixed goods freight train later tonight (unweathered though). It is my first gondola. The other things I got were 3 truck cabs, a knight trans. truck, and a USPS truck.

    BNSF/UP Mixed Goods Freight Train

    Thanks Steven for your intrest. I just took another set of pics of a mixed goods freight train and the BNSF gondola is in it (5th pic). I dropped in a lumber load off one of my flatbed trucks and I added a load to the flat car put didn't bother to put the chains on:oops:. I'll take some pics of the trucks I got and post them in my "new layout pictures" thread in a few mins.

    Here is the train, It consists of my BNSF Dash 8-40B followed by the UP Dash 9 (C44-9W) and 20 freight cars (most of which are weathered)
