    And in a variety of scales, most of my Trotskiy planes;

    Great fun, and I have as many more printed and ready to go! Thank you, Mr. Trotskiy!! I particularly enjoy the more unusual craft.

    WOuld someone mind posting some closeups from different angles to show how they go together (same plane) It might help people get into building these without directions :)

    Chris - whats that corsair looking one in the lower left? I dont know if I have that one! I prolly do somewhere ;)

    Chris,
    You must mean the JU87D?

    It's my favorite plane and I've done a few of the Trotskiy model. I did a few mods on this one, but I'm hoping to do a more ambitious one soon with cockpit interior and clear canopy.
    The Trotskiy planes go together very easily, but I think some builders like to make certain changes. I like to add some thickness to the wings and attach them where they should be. For practical gliding reasons (I'm guessing here), Mr. Trotskiy has chosen to attach most of the wings at the underside.
    Here's closer shot of a couple of my other favorites;

    I'll try and take some assembly shots on my next one.

    ... I have made a explanation, unfortunately in german, how to build the great planes from our "maistro" Trotskiy. Maybe the pictures will help you a little bit. Otherwise I will make some pictures in different angles and put them here ont the forum. Here is the Link :http:///www.buchwerk-beeden.de/html/trotskiy.html

    This is the size you get when printing on 8 X 11 bond paper.
    I make a wing spar from a starbucks coffee stirrer to reenforce the wing. It has undercamber and wash out for flying. This one flys great!

    Boose Builds

    It's nice to see some of these airplanes again. I like your attack bomber squadron, Edi.

    Here are two of my Trotskiy builds, and the bowl of Trotskiy airplanes that sits on the window ledge at my office -- nothing to compare with Werner's vast and beautifully-built collection.

    Construction Shots

    Here are some photos of Trotskiys under construction. I make them pretty much out of the box except for adding wing spar and some other mods, such as gluing a length of .015-inch/0.3mm wire inside the struts, and thickening the wheels to give the illusion of dimensionality. Chris Walas does a particularly good job of these dimensionality changes.

    Since I've been away for a while, I didn't realize this thread had been started. I'm glad to see it. For now I'll just include the photo of my Lagg-3 that I attached to my post in the Trotsky internet finds thread. It's "box stock" except for the scale (1/72) and the addition of an antenna mast.
