Trolley help

Recently purchased a trolley and want to know if there is some way to
halt it at certain stops on the layout without powering down all the time.
Something like an automantic timer, I think I remember something in
O gauge or Classic Toy trains where this can be accomplished. It will
be on a dedicated "O" track. There will be 3 or more stops.
By the way happy Holidays to all.
Thanks Tracman165

Tracman: is this 3-rail O gauge? Lionel used to have a station that did this. The device works on the same principle as the flashers on a car -- a coil that heats a bimetallic strip and then makes contact. Has anybody tried a car flasher for this?

Hi David, yes its 3 rail "O", thanks for answering. I'll have to buy one of those
and see if it'll work. Since your the only one that answered, maybe I'll
try the local Radio Shack. I guess I'm looking for something that will cut
the power for around 15 to 20 seconds and then release so the trolley will
carry on to the next stop.
Thanks, Harry

I submitted an answer to this same question about a month ago. Unfortunately, I can't find the ad in Model Rrailroader that deals with your problem. There is a company in New York state that makes a system that handles up to 5 station stops and reverses the trolley or train at each end. The station stops can be varied by programming the system. The ad is in one of the 2006 issues. Sorry that I can't be more specific. I'll keep hunting.
