Hi folks,
I'm just back from a 15 hours trip to Hamburg, only to visit Hamburgs main attraction to model railroaders, the Miniaturwunderland. It is believed to be the biggest modelrailroad layout of the world and it is still growing. I took some 280 pictures and I'll post some of them here on this thread. They're still enlarging the layout, they've cut out a part of the floor to add the Alps!!! Mountains and railroad two levels high:thumb: !
Of course I took the train to Hamburg, 4 hours to Hamburg and 4 hours back home:cry:.
But now to photos.sign1
- The first one shows one of the Braun twin brothers giving a TV interview in front of the Alps addition. He is CEO and his brother is the "mad scientist", the chief engineer.
- Next is Las Vegas at night,
- the control center,
- Freight ship leaving the harbour on the scandinavian part (and yes it IS leaving the harbour, the water is real water),
- The MiWuLa version of New River Mining and Glacier Gravel.
More to come!
