What a blizzard we had in Syracuse Sunday morning.Risked life and limp to get there,(good old Chevy truck). The very 1st table I stopped at had a used Bachman 4-8-4 Niagara. The lady told me it had a problem with the pilot wheels falling out and had been returned to there shop.Made the deal for $30.00.It runs fine on the test track;but headlight is out,the smoke unit works fine.I want to put a 6000 series number on the engine.can anyone suggest the best way to take the number off of the cab I don't have a airbrush.

Try soaking the old # with solvaset for awhile, then rub with a pencil erasure. Add more solvaset as you go. Once the # is gone, clean well, gloss coat, decal then gloss cote again, weather if desired and dullcote.
