Here is a couple of pics of my latest build. This is a well designed model.
Nice looking build, thus far. All of the edges are clean and crisp.:thumb:
Thanks. It's nice to work on a model without any curves. Thin balsa wood is keeping it straight and ridged.
Wow! Very well designed is right!
Nice production so far, keep on....er....uh... Truckin!
The old girl is looking really good. You are doing a very good job. Keep up the great work.
Finally finished! This model looks better than the weakly detailed plastic one I built as a kid. The aft engine detail really sells this model.
Looks awesome, nicely done. What are the dimensions on the finished model?
18.5" * 8 1/4"
Its a decent length. It won't take up too much shelf space.
Nice size for a model. What weight of cardstock did you use?
I used basic Michaels Store card-stock. 65lb/176g/m2. I don't recall them having much of a variety in weight. A touch heavier would be ideal.
Two of my favorite ships.
I see. I usually use 110lb, but the last guy that did the printing for me used 80lb. 11X17 and I'm used to the thicker stock.
