Windsor & Hantsport, the local shortline, has had MRM (Maritime Rail) Equipment on-hand for the past couple months, working on various segments of their subdivisions.
Today, they were working at Mile 33.51, the grade crossing right near my house. I walked down to talk to the crews and get some pictures. Camera died, which figures, so i only go to to talk to the guys. In the process, i was eyeing up that Torsion Beam Tamper they were using, and thinking how cool it would be to have one in N-scale. Hard as heck to make, but interesting, none the less!
I got to thinking, and decided that it was at least worth my effort to look for some pictures and diagrams. As if i don't have enough on my plate as it is, i'm already looking at another project!
Anyone happen to have some good close-up pics and detail shots of a Torsion Beam Tamper? I've got some, but i need basic measurements and diagrams, too. Anything you can provide would be great, guys!
