Not quite that bad,:D :D but you have a good point. Some of the stickies in several of the forums have outlived their usefulness. Thanks, we'll see what we can do.

I'm counting 3 stickies in "general talk"..
Yeah, we've already started to "unstick" some and move others. Three or four stickies aren't bad, it's just how long have they been there and the significance of them today. After a while, people tend to ignore them and they become transparent, just like things that we put into the announce1"announcement" section of a forum.:)

But, in reality, you are right, we normally have very few stickies here at the Gauge anyway, especially when compared to some other train forums that I've seen. We make an effort to keep it that way.

What is a sticky?
Les
It a thread that the moderators have attached to the top of the forum because of some important infromation or guidlines in it. That way it does not get bumped out of view when new threads are created like a standard thread would.

If you look at the top of the forum here in General Talk, the first 3 threads are always the same and say Sticky: before the thread title.
