To build or not to build (the coalmine), that’s the question.

OK, I just finished laying and wiring the track for the coalmine area, and now suddenly I can’t decide if I should build the coalmine, or if I can / should somehow utilize the area better by adding a small town with some industries (I model modern). Hmmmm, decisions decisions.

What would you do?

"If you build it, they will come!" Hoppers that is! :) Some times its hard to make a decision like this since both have merit. I tend to lean toward the look of one large industry with several cars serving it. I know, however, that having several industries in the same space might be more operationally interesting (or at least more challenging!). That was a good idea to put a mine structure in the space to see how you might like it. I suggest letting it sit there for another day or two to see if the attraction lasts. Then maybe you could put up some mock ups of a town and other industies as a contrast, look at those for a while, and then decide.
