As promised, here's some pics of Ol' Blue.
And my NARA car

Looks to me to be nothing more than a "flesh wound". I'd guess-timate about 10 or 15 minutes of "surgery", at most. :-D:-D
Judging by your pics, and if I had the right materials and tools, 'Ol Blue would take one day to fix. For your NMRA car, 2 hours (C'mon, so the weight popped off, big deal!). 1:15 for the weight (15 minutes to apply glue and put car in propper position, 1 hour or more to let dry) and less than 15 minutes for putting the body back on (I have trouble with that part 'cause they bend in the middle in my kits)
All I can say.........R.I.P...............Track!.....tkat
Yep, it took a hit alright but its not as bad looking as I imagined. Glad to see that!
Seems easy to repair. I'd like to see it make the rounds again, maybe with a graffiti phoenix on it!
I feel a bit of Monty Python is in order...
[after slicing one of the Black Knight's arms off]
King Arthur: Now stand aside, worthy adversary.
Black Knight: 'Tis but a scratch.
King Arthur: A scratch? Your arm's off.
Black Knight: No it isn't.
King Arthur: What's that, then?
Black Knight: [after a pause] I've had worse.
King Arthur: You liar.
Black Knight: Come on ya pansy.

So when is "Ol Blue" headed headed for the repair barn? I understand that a very good doctor has offered his surgical skills for the repair work.
By the way I vote for mis-matched paint to show the repairs done.
