    ON30 PLEDGE
    I,_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
HAVING SEEN THE LIGHT OF ON30,
MY MIND IS CLEAR,MY THOUGHTS NOT DIRTY,
WILL RAISE MY HAND TOWARD THE HIGHEST TREE,
AND PLEDGE MY LIFE TO THE CONSPIRACY!
"STANDARDS" MY LIPS SHALL NEVER UTTER,
MY LOCOMOTIVES SHALL SPIT AND SPUTTER,
AND RUST AND JUNK SHALL EVER ABOUND,
IN EVERYONE OF MY O SCALE TOWNS.
I'LL RESIST THE URGE TO SAY TWO-POINT-FIVE,
    OR TWO-AND A HALF,OR OTHER SUCH JIVE,
AND THIRTY INCHES IT SHALL BE!
OR HANG ME FROM THE NEAR SPAR TREE.
AND FUN AND FRIENDSHIP WILL BE ALL THE RAGE,
AS I FROLIC AROUND IN OUR NARROW GAUGE!

No I don't take credit for this, just thought I would post it :D

So, what's next? Secret handshakes? Decoder rings? Small groups of people whispering to each other only to stop and stare when you walk by? Secret stash of HO gauge track kept under the bed? A statue that you can flip the head back and push a button to open a hidden door to your "other" layout? Protest groups at the next NMRA convention? Derisive sneers at everyone operating in "standard-land"?

    Where will it end?

I'm glad to see the narrow guys are such an active group. This'll give me MORE stuff i can convert BACK into S-gauge! Are the buildings narrower too? What about people? It's heck finding S scale people!

Is it still a conspiracy if everybody knows about it?

    Regards,
    Ted

Actually S scale is a good sourse for O narrow gauge stuff.:D I agree with you about the S scale people.I collect 1/64th scale diecast and have a drive-in diorama in the works if I can find enough people to populate the darn thing.

I can not be hung from the "near spar tree"........ I cut it down........ to make spars! :D :D

Hmm, does that make the other guy in my lumber company my sparring partner? ;) ;) ;)

guess I'd better "lower the boom" on further puns here.

Nuthin narrow minded about it. Ya take one AF two bay hopper add KADEE HO archbar trucks with NWSL O scale wheel sets and you end up with a On30 two bay steel hopper. :D Oh yeah, might as well put a pair of KADEE #5 couplers on it too.

Catt, do you have a picture of this AF based creation? Since all my hoppers are buried, I would like to see if it would be worth digging them up. Also don't forget that American Models puts out a 2-bay hopper that has finer details, IMHO.

And SHS has a new 2-bay wooden composite hopper that is a candidate too.

    What do you think?
