Not cardmodels but I've picked up that there are a fair number of sci fi readers among the denizens. On Monday Stanislaw Lem passed away aged 84.

For those of you not aware of Lem's work I guess the most well known work in English is "Solaris" - two film versions (Russian - not bad, Hollywood - awful).

Some of his other works included:
    Cyberiad
    Tales of Pirx the Pilot
    Fiasco (my personal favourite)
    His Masters Voice

Lem's writing was clever, often funny and always challenged the reader with profound questions about humanity. He'll be missed.

    Regards,

    Charlie

My favorite was "Zvezdnyje dnevniki Ijona Tichego" or The Star Diaries in English. I remember when I was a kid, I used to read his books whole night long and would often pretend to be sick so I would not have to go to school:)

Very sad, but his works will live forewer. As one of my favorites writes said: Manuscripts do not burn!
