Hi :)

my name is Marc and I live in germany. I'm 39 years old and I'm very interested in sci-fi papercraft but also in any other models. For now I can count about 15 different papercrafts. There are spongebob, thaddeus, the Normandy 1, some Batlemechs and so on.

I don't know how to build an own papercraft but maybe I will try someday. In the meantime I can only help by trying to build "beta"crafts and post pictures of finished builds.

Hope to find a nice community here and nope...I'm not a robot or spammer but my english is bad...sometimes :)

Hello and welcome to the forum.

You have come to the right place for SCI-FI. We have MANY members here who are REALLY into SCI-FI (I being one of them).
Not only that, but we also have a few members from Germany. So please do not feel like the only lonely.
As for your English, do not worry about it. Just make Google Translator your best friend, and you really should not have too many problems.

As for easy models to start you on, I would suggest this site: http://www.paperaviation.de/Science-Fiction/science-fiction.html Check out the Puddle Jumper. It is a very easy model, but it can also be detailed out if you are up for trying such.
Please post what ever models that you have made as well as any current builds that you may be working on.

Once again welcome aboard and I hope that you enjoy yourself here.

I am looking forward to seeing your work.

Hi Rhaven,

It's ok .) At the moment I work on the Battlemech "Fafnir" and as I said I already own a lot of completed mechs. I'm not good at other paperwork which is not out of pepakura but I might give it a try someday :)

Complete models are:
- Madcat (first one)
- Raven (second one)
- Vulture
- Zeus
- Uller
- Linebacker
- Shadow Cat
- Normandy SR1
- Thaddeus
- Spongebob
- Mr Crabs
- a snowman :p
- Resetti
- Spongebob :)

Here is a picture :)

Of course I'm waiting for the Normandy SR2 and will build more mechs since I'm very addicted to Battletech :)

Nice to see another Battletech fan.

Don't feel too bad about the english bit because even some of us with english as our first language can't get it right all the time either! (Guilty as charged here)

I tried this one a few months ago http://www.zealot.com/forum/showthread.php?t=171609 and somehow it was working but lacks of somekind of internal structure reinforcement. Tried to build this model up to page 10 and then it became simply too soft to build it any further.

I found on Deviantart another page with the same model and internal reinforcements (also thought about makin them myself^^) but it seems like there was no update for a very long time. (http://therealgrale.deviantart.com/art/SR2-Alliance-354892189).

I think it's the same one as in the thread mentioned first. Both of the projects seem to be dead...or are they?

And there is still this one http://www.zealot.com/forum/showthread.php?t=170553
Is it also dead? I can help you with "betacraft" if you like :)

The one from Thunderchild is nice but...small...I need a big Normandy...3 feet would be outstanding :) 1,5 would be also nice :)
