    Hey guys,

I'm new to the drifting scene and am in need of some advice. I have a TC3 Racer Kit and am wondering which motor would be the best for me to buy? Ive heard people saying a "23 turn" would be the way to go. Is this true? Any help would be appreciated :)

Any decent Stock motor would be great for drifting, I use a Core 27T motor. You need torque at low RPM, for drifting unlike regular grip racing, which needs High RPM,hihg power low turn motors.

What he said. The more torque the better, and if you get one with variable timing, thats great too. You can play with that after learning about it (It can be dangerious if you do something wrong to it) and begin to notice differances in motors and such. But the most common is a 27, and just FYI, the lower the turns, the faster it is. However, speed isnt always good. :!:

I have heard the HPI Saturn 20T motor included in the Stage D kits is great. Also check out the Yokomo D1, Orion Drift Machine and HPI Stage D motors ;)
