Norfolk & Western 505 I'm suprised by the weight of it. I won't get to test run it until tomorrow since I have to leave for work shortly. :(

But here's some pics fresh out of the box! :)

Surprised as in it is to light? Or it is heavier than expected? If you go to the OGR forum, the guys who run RMT are always on the forum ready to answer questions. Theyre the only company I know of that actually responds to people 100% of the time. Any questions or concerns can be sent to them and they will respond. I have been looking into getting a beep or buddy recently as well just for the fact that the company knows what customer service is about.

I guess so I don't totaly take away from CB's thread if you are interested send me a Pm and I will be happy to talk to you. But to answer your question yes.

Sorry CB didn't mean to mix up your thread. I hope you like and enjoy your new Beep. I would rather have a larger switcher.

    Quite the contrary.
I think it's kind of hefty for a plastic engine. It outweighs my two plastic Lionels by quite a bit.
I think the Marx 666 I have coming might give it a run for it's money though. :D

:) I didn't mean to tear them apart. Hey did you notice the little number signs on the ends below the real chain move? I did think that was cool.

Yeah I noticed that. I thought they were steps for walking out over the couplers though? I think the little chain is a pretty cool touch as well.

What's in the motor that I should be looking for/ at?

They are just two very small electric motors that you would find in one of the hand held fans that run with batteries. Just different even though they work just fine.

BTW try it in the dark the lights do look cool in addition.

You can take the shell off and view the motor without tampering with the warranty. Also, I have heard of people using lead fishing weights to weigh down the engine using cold glue. Using cold glue allows for easy removal of the weights and does not leave residue.

It's sold as a 3-Rail item but a friend of mine converted one to 2-Rail. He used old wheels from the old Atlas F9. Rewired it to make use of the positive pick up from the middle rail to one side. He also mounted Kadee couplers on it. Cute little industrial critter.
