Yesterday I was at the Tennessee Valley Railroad in Chattanooga. As always it was a fun ride. However the 610 steam locomotive was in the shop for some repairs. So we had a GP7. You can find more information at Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum - chattanooga, TN. Enjoy the pictures!

That's a pretty nice little operation they have. If I recall, they are trying to re-create the feeling of a shortline...

I was there many years ago and I think they had some old alco RSD units. Ex millitary, maybe...

Good eye there Triplex. That GP7 may have come from the NC&StL but you are right the U.S. Army had some too. Alaska RR had some ex-Army GP9's on those trucks also IIRC.
