How time flys 25 years tommorow The HMS SHEFFEILD was sunk in the falklands and 20 dead and lots more injured it only seems like yesterday she was in my dockyard and i was onboard refittting her to go to war the things that cross your mind guess we never do get over things .mike


They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

I was glued to my television instead of attending classes during that war. I remember the attack on the task force and if I remember correctly it was the first British ship sunk in 40 years at the time. While it was in fact hit on the 4th I think it sank a few days later.

I too will pause today to remember the sailors killed on the Sheffield and the other three Royal Navy Ships and men during that conflict.
