Is there anyway to get a layout map of the trackage system in Troy? I think when I start building my new layout one of these year's I'm gonna model it of troy and the surrounding areas. I'll have to bring a camra and get a local street map so I can get as close to it as I can. Time to go buy somemore 1500's.

KCS, the best maps I've found that show the tracks are the topo maps at http://www.terraserver-usa.com. The page that shows Troy is here.
There is more industrial trackage to the south on the Conecuh Valley (which is shown as its former owner Central of Georgia).

If you have back issues of MR, there is an article by Tom Smiley in the January, 1991 issue where he describes building a small HO layout based on what is now the Conecuh Valley RR. I also have some pictures from Troy in the Seen any good structures to model thread in the photography forum.
