hey guys trying to wire xmas lights and wondering what resistor to use . rs only sells muti packs and i don;t know which ones are which. hey are carbon 1/4w. if any one knws the size and or the band colors that would be cool. sorry this is a tech question bet thier not getting back to me there.

black=0
brown=1
red=2
orange=3
yellow=4
green=5
blue=6
violet=7
gray=8
white=9
the first and second bands are the number the third is the multiplier
hence orange orange orange =33000 ohms
the other band in tolerance.

i thinki'vee got it figured out a guy. in the tech forum gave me a link to a great website i'll go get it and post it, although i guess you got a handle on iy already. it shows you the resistor you need. you do however need to know the resistance.
