ummmmmm yes.............. 2001 Space Odessey?
Hitch Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy, maybe?
As long as you don't start playing Blue Danube.... Yes, very interested! Looks good so far, Steve.
If it's 2001, I don't remember it. But I do recognize it. Some sort of drop-ship....
Dangit, I can see it in my head (I think) but I have no idea why.....
Gaaahhh!!!! Now I'm gonna be up all night
Aries 1B space craft; took Dr. Heywood Floyd to Clavius Base.
Ooooooh...... Thanks Jaybats. I can sleep now Looked it up in google. Very cool!!!!
I was thinking of Mechwarrior
Does this help?
Yep, it does. Another blatant ripoff by the designers of Mechwarrior
I have no opinion...but I like your idea Steve!!!
Its the landing craft from 2001 landing on the moon.
Confederation spaceship?! I can't recognise this massive structure ~~~
VERY interested!!! I haven't built your XD1 yet, but it's on the list....
I built your Discovery, so yes, very interested to see this one!
I'm a 2001 fanatic...
This is one of my all-time favorites! (Another 2001 fanatic!)
See........... I was right.......... I was right!
I remember going to the movies to see that one.................
"Dave.............. don't so that." I loved H(i) A(b) L(m)
Will you do the POD from Discovery?
Already in the works! Sorry, but progress on ANY project is slow due to lack of a permanent working area (I hate having to put everything away when I'm not working on it) and a recent surgery and recovery. I'm up to about 60% and it's hard to sit up so design and test build are difficult at best.
Please excuse that my projects are so slow, but unfortunately, that's how it is right now.
I have to do a MAJOR redesign of the Pod as it is very hard to build and I want to try to simplify things. On a good note, all of the parts fit on the first try! I still have to figure out how I'm going to make the rear door area.
Here are some photos of the work in progress (sphere is about 7 inches diameter on this test build, actual model scale TBD later). It wasn't too bad building the thing and putting it all away because of the various sub-assemblies that could be built by themselves and then putting them all together the same evening.
I'll start a new thread and keep you posted in a bit so as to not hijack this thread.
Too cool. I have always loved the pods from 2001. Just need a pod bay door and HAL looking on
Neat! Thanks Ron!
Really nice when you think up something and someone has already started on it! Kinda makes the wait shorter!
