starting again

Hello all I have been gone for some time having moved twicez in 2 years. I now have a new unfinished basement room that is all mine. There are only studs on the walls. The room is 20 x 14. I am looking for ideas such as lighting,power, benchwork. I am still undecided on scale I have had small N and HO with this much room I could have a large N scale or medium HO. What would you do if you could start over?

Hello Paul, welcome back.
You say you have had n and ho layouts. Which scale did you have the most fun working with? I would not worry about whether it's a large or medium layout, but what gives you the most enjoyment.
As far as lighting and stuff, can 't help you there.

Hello and im going to add my 2 cents. First off 20x14 would give you plenty of fun and 2nd do you plan on other operators working with you?? That way you can plan on more room and rails to run on with them.
