STAR WARS - DARK CHILD CHRONICLES in full HD

Guys, my sincere apologies...I've dissappeared from this forum for a while and have not replied to some of your comments. My business was going very badly for a while (recession) and I've had to concentrate on building things up again, thankfully I've managed to pull things back from the brink...

Anyhow, now that things are back from the brink, would anyone be interested to see what I've been up to in my sparest of spare time?

I know that what I do is almost cheating in terms of paper models, so if you are wondering where paper is used, I use mountboard to create all of the sets for the feature films. The movies also feature artwork, custom figures and vehicles, not to mention photography, movie making and special effects editing..oh and of course story writing.

Ok, you'll need to pour yourselves a stiff drink before you engage the links below...I would recommend giving yourselves around 30 minutes, darken the room, put on your best earphones, and enjoy the short movies I have prepared for your enjoyment.

Hey Julian

I've been working away every night for the last couple of weeks on my action figure bases. I finally finished the graphics for a 12" Raging Hulk base that looks like the Hulkbusters military base. I just figured out how to make changeable doors for the bases using magnetic catches. I can make solid closed doors, partially opened doors, and smashed or bent doors. I'm working on a "SMALLVILLE" base for my Justice League figures I just bought. Luthorcorp Level 33.1 from the TV Series. Finished the sketches for a new design thats two sided so you can turn the display around and show it from the backside as well as the front. I'm thinking about an Ironman display thats two sided also. Just finished the graphics for a S.H.E.I.L.D display and a Fantastic Four. I Hope to upload pics soon, just need to print and start cutting foamcore. Your stuff looks great. I really like the videos.

Clif, that sounds fantastc, I remember looking at your dioramas and customs a while back so I'm looking forward to seeing you latest creaions....

Fantastic work all around. You've found the best use of the star wars figures I've ever seen. The sets are amazing, but everything from the writing the sound and effects are all top notch. I really enjoyed this punch up of the graphic novel genre. I'll definitely be spreading the news of this around.

Congratulations! Great work. Keep those chapters coming.

H4D, thanks for the wonderful testimonial to my Novel, it is always great to read people's reactions.

There is some good news and some bad news re the Novel...

The bad news is Dark Child is no more...After the last video I was totally burned out, all of the hours needed to create the effects just made the whole thing seem like a task rather than a pleasure. I guess the pressure of writing just became too much.

The good news is, I'm going to start a new series of short stories, this time I'll be turning a computer game into a photonovel. The story is already written, so I just have to do the stuff I enjoy most. Each story or short film will be a complete episode, so If I decide to quit at some future point I won't feel as though I'm letting anyone down.

I'll be posting a farewell, behind the scenes movie looking at the processes involved in creating the Darkchild Novel and at the end I'll announce the new project.

Thanks so much for spreading the word...I'm sure when you find out what I'm up to next you won't be dissappointed.

Cheers,

Jules

Jules, thanks for displaying the wonderful results of your creative energy! As an infrequent visitor, I feel fortunate to have stumbled upon "the Novel", marveled at the product of your imagination and it's quality, and can understand, but still regret it's termination. I'm certainly hoping for worthy rewards to you for your efforts, and that I manage to catch your future productions. All the Best...Bob C.

Chooch,

Those are very kind words indeed and very much appreciated, thank you.

I'll be sure to post my next novel here, I'll probably be resorting back to my original format of a photo novel which should be ready for release in June. I plan to make a one off movie special for Christmas as so many people have been urging me to continue making them.

Once again, I appreciate your kind testimonial, please be sure to check back here soon.

Regards,
Jules
