    threaded shocks are good because you can turn the little theaded washer up or down in order to set the stiffness of the spring. This makes setting up for your condition easy, and also changeing its setting is easy too.

    so basically it just gives more adjustment after the fact you changed your springs

    any spring u put on the shock can be made stiffer by the threaded washer by compressing the spring.
