Spam mail; received

i posted in scratchin & bashin hints n tips, of using hobbytex paint in modelling.

Today i received spam trying to sell hobbytex paint from a David Griss, from Sydney Aust. email fgriss@bigpond.net.au
my post was listed in the Gauge ans AMR forums only.
it could only have been sourcefrom either of the 2 forums. is this mongrel a member here ? :mad: :curse:

After thinking about this, I wouldn't call this Spam. You stated that you used the product and it strikes me that he was just telling you of another source for the product. I noted in another post elsewhere that you promptly deleted his entry in your guest book. I think that is overkill. But that is your option.

Did you provide your website address in the post?

If so, then he could have visited your website and picked up an eaddy from there or any of the whois servers and picked up an eaddy from there.

YMMV, but it is entirerly possible that you are the one that provided your eaddy
