    Hello Patrick!

Welcome to the Forum! And what a fine Sopwith Camel you are building - with excellent photos, too!
I think you will find it´s a very friendly bunch of model builders who gather, socialize and discuss modelling here.
I have been to Poland on many occasions in the 70s and 80s, also to beautiful Warsaw in the summertime. The old town of Krakow was also very beautiful and the visit to Auschwitz very interesting and enlightening. I have also visited the towns of Zakopane, Steczin and Gdansk.
I hope that you will have a good time at the Forum! Feel free to ask anything!

    Bengt from Stockholm:grin:

    Hello Patrick,

I think most of the folks on this site know where Poland is. Most look it up after buying some of the fabulous models being produced by your fellow compatriots. Sounds like you don't give up easily. Great to see one of Tommy Sopwith's airplanes on the site. Visit often, post often and show as many photos as possible.

Very nice work. Poland....north of Germany and west of Russia. The mother lode of paper models. Is this kit the recent issue? The printing looks too good to be one of the older Maly kits, unless you scanned it and did a lot of work on the scans in an image processor. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your models.

    Poland whereabouts...

    Hi Darwin,

What were you doing in Geography classes? The country to the north of Germany is called Denmark, with the capital of Copenhagen.
Poland lies to the EAST of Germany, if somebody hasn´t moved it recently...

    to the northeast of Denmark,
    north of Poland,
    Bengt

I stand corrected. Wonder why I remember the Danzig corridor being oriented north/south? At least I had it touching Germany.....it being half a century since I sat in a geography class, I guess I'm lucky to have placed it in the correct continent.

Darwin, How's life in the "I Don't Know" state sometimes called Idaho. Bet most people in Poland don't know (half a pun there) where it is...,

P.S. That might be 2/3s of a pun...,

    Geography...

    Hi Darwin,

I was just pulling your leg, kidding around a bit as I´m sure you know!

I probably couldn´t pinpoint the states of America if you asked me to...
(I finished my high school studies 30 years ago)

You know your own backyard best.
    Have a good week, bro!

How's life in the "I Don't Know" state sometimes called Idaho. --- COLD. DOWNRIGHT FRIGGIN COLD!!!!! Though I'm not sure you might have us confused with Oklahoma. Here in Idaho we really don't need to be shown much of anything....at least most of us, anyway. I'm certainly not speaking for our Governor. Good weather for paper modelling, though.

Fabulous Sopwith! Your English is much much better than my Polish! Your plane looks better than most of mine, too.
