Thanks fellows for all the complements on the rocks. My wife is the artist in the family. I had originaly stained the rocks a drab grey and highlighted a little with some darker colors and an india ink wash. The wife came along and said they don't look real enough. With a 2" paint brush, she dry brushed on some purple, then some white and even some silver. When she started it looked phoney, but when she finished I could not believe how real they looked.

BTW I wasn't trying to be a smarta** in reference to your wife. Those rocks look great from a distance AND from up close. They look is real as any I've ever seen! If I were you I would see what else I could get her to try her hand at.
