Slag ballast

Real stone and natural aggregates. Ideal for HO-Scale. Also available in 1/2-gallon size (SS4030-6). CAUTION: Slag has a residual iron content and could cause damage to track and DCS electronics.

Look on the bright side: real slag doesn't smell very pleasant , although I guess it would be appropriate if you were also modelling a sewage plant. In HO, it'd be pretty hard to tell if it was slag or rock ballast, if you can find a suitable colour.
