I'm about to start building many different type of signal; dwarf, single on a post, double or multiple on a bridge etc..

My "pet-peeves" was to find LED's that would fit and be cheap all at once.

I think I have found it!

I bought 2 packs ofHoliday Collection, 20 mini lights for village sets. They're small LED that can be powered by batteries (case & switch included) or by an adaptor.

20 red, yellow and green LED for $5.00! That's $0.25 each. they come already wire (string) together. They fit and look perfect for what I have in mind.

Perfect for HO, maybe N but it would be a bit big.

For those of us who are really cheap, look for Christmas lights just before Christmas Day and then again in the sales the week after. At that time, a string of new lights can be cheaper than a packet of 5 replacement bulbs.

That's surely a good price in LEDs. If you need more or a different variety, you might check:

I was going to order from them and never got around to it, but it seems they have good variety, mini, clear, colors, multi-color, flashing, etc.

Where did you find the LED light string?

I found the light string at the local mall at HallMark store.
