So my latest interest seems to be with regard to robotics; especially military robots. After looking through various articles on robots through the ages - and thinking I knew of all the "robots" the Wehrmacht had used - I came across what can be considered the first true service robot, as opposed to an explosive on wheels.

The Minenräumwagen Sd. Kfz. 300 was a robotic minesweeper, designed to pull a set of rollers over minefields. More interesting than the fact that it was one of the first military robots is the fact that this robot had a hull made of concrete instead of metal! Presumably this was meant to preserve metal for manned vehicles.

So far I've drawn up the hull and am almost done with the tracks. The rollers are going to be a tough bit to draw, though.
