Hey, that's a great looking series of structures! The curved roof is a real eye catcher. The industry looks large enough to justify rail service. Very realistic looking. Nice work!

There is a 84 Lumber, in Pennsylvania, or New Jersey, that actually gets their lods from rail. Saw a pic in Northeast Railpace Magazine.

The one in the picture (murrysviile, Pa) still receives an occassional car via the turtle creek railroad.

curved roof
The curved sides were made by tracing a pattern onto really thick styrene and cutting 2 identical pieces. Then after they were braced across every few inches with plastic beams from plastruct, I took a long thin piece of styrene sheet and CA glued it gradually until it was secure. I had to glue it a couple inches at a time before it was finished. I cut some thin evergreen styrene strips to give it texture, primed with grey primer, painted with spray can, and dullcoted it. It is my largest scratch built project, and I'm happy with it. That Mills bros lumber is a fantastic kit, why does Walthers have to retire it?

The 84 down here still does, too. At least it DID, it was near where Wilma came thru.
There's another Lumber place closer to me that gets a few cars each month, down in south Punta Gorda.

It seems to me just about 84 Lumber has some sort of siding to get lumber via rail. I'm thinking that they prefer rail to truck.
They opened one in Montgomery within the last few years that has a railroad spur. The Lowe's in Montgomery also used to have a spur - until they moved to a bigger store.
