Hello guys,

I'm think about building a 4'x2' layout american style. It will be built thinking about shows.

I'm thinking about this trackplan. But having just one siding on that small spur.

Another idea is to have a layout with a fake background so that I can have some staging tracks.

Any thoughts you fine modellers want to share?

Hello Luis!

That looks nice. If you want more industrial spurs or a yard, you might try a dogbone style. You could do a dogbone in front of the fake background if you like.

hey.. I dont mean to jack your thread.. but since you live in europe .. I think I might! hehe...

anyways.. I am doing a modern style layout.. and hte problem is.. americans are mostly 50's era! they make new engines etc.. but no new style buildings.. do you have access to modern buildings from a european manufacture? Kind of like KATO.. alot of their stuff is Japan made, and really modern and new style..

Were you planning on having the tracks cross at grade or were you going to have one track go over the other?

Here's a small layout that I've always liked. It is also a figure-8 in a 2'X4' space. It's pretty simple, but nicely done.
