S Gauge Software

    Hey Gang,
    Starting to collect models and stuff for the layout. Wanting to know if anyone has any S Gauge software for laying out tracks. I see lots of other gauge but havent found any s as of yet.

    I use AutoCAD because i have it for my profession. Way too pricey to buy just for trains.

    XTrkCad has just become freely available. Download from http://www.sillub.com/ and a free registration code is in the "What's New" section. I don't know that AF S gauge sectional track is supported directly but you can enter it using the custom turnouts feature (which, confusingly, supports a lot more than turnouts). I measured a bunch of O gauge track and entered it in this past week and have been using it to play with some of my layout ideas.

    It's worth a shot and won't cost you anything.
