I think Atlas makes one, I don't have it but would expect it to run very well. As I recall, the hand grabs on the corners aren't correct. I may be thinking of the RS3.

Kinda homely little monkeys. When Chris sobers up he'll want a beautiful S-1, yet another Alco:

Chris, they have a hell of a deal on the S-1's, proto 2k's at trainworld.com, under 30 American pesos.

OK Chris, if you still want an RS-1 after all that unwarranted bantering, here it is, atlas makes an RS-1, 2, 3 and 11. This is a trainworld ad, but the number is standard walthers number if you want to order it elsewhere.

Chris, The 6 wheeled truck version of the RS units were RSD's. Not sure if RSD4 or 5. Also don't know if any of the better mfgs made this loco. I think AHM did. Do you know the make of this one?

Chris,

what you have there is an Atlas Model Railroad's model of an Alco RSD-5. It was built for them by Kato, (if my memory is correct). What is an RSD-5 you say, it was the six axle version of the RS-3.

Here is a photo of one that I found on Jerry Appleman's web site http://www.jerryapp.com/rr_album.html
