Rikku FFXX-II Papercraft building

Some updates pics on my progress with Rikku, didn't had the time to post lately ^^
here we go :
had some difficulties linking the abdomen with the skirt but manage to make it look rather good ^^
Here's the right hand and arm :
and now attached to the body :
Back view :
Left hand and arm ready to assemble :
And ready to be joined with the body :
you can see that i had misglued the right hand at the wrong angle so i had to dettach it and reglue it in the right position ^^
Now here where I am now, next part building the head and details for the hair (arrrgghhhhh
), the weapons and little details ^^
So stay tuned for the finishing line !! ^^

That model would raise my wife's eyebrows, but she would understand why I would want to build i!

It came from Ninjatoes, I don't have the exact link but if you can't find it there I can send the PDF files for the parts and the instructions (I also got the Viper MKII from there too). Just PM me if needed ^^

and it was made by a total beginner (with some of my help and correction ^^) but she mostly did the largest part, except the little details like the cannons ^^.
Hmmmmm... today I discovered that while I was at work last evenning/night, an accident occurred implying my little Rikku and my magnifying glass I use sometimes for my modelings and the sun.
What happens is that I left my unfinished Rikku standing on my table with the magnifying glass not too far from it. And, with a conjonctions of good conditions, the sunrays came through the glass and formed (i supposed) a good enough beam to heat and burn Rikku's left thumb....
Here are the (horrible) pics :
Well hat I can say is that I was somewhat lucky that it didn't spread anyfurther, not only on Rikku but also on the rest of my room....
Let's reprint that left hand parts and meditate on those events........

Hi there ! It's been a while since i've udated my building of Rikku, didn't time with work and private life (even though i did continue the building), so here it comes. It's almost finished, just have to make the weapons and redo the burned left hand.
Let's start with the head joined on the body with just the main braid as added detail. I must admit it was quite a pain in the &@!#é to make, but in the end it didn't turned out so bad I guess....
Now the pics with all of the head details (arrggghhh her hair was quite a nightmare to do)
Ok now here are pics with all the body details added :
Now at last views of the model from head to toes :
Last of last, close-ups on the arms and face :
That's all folks (quite enough already haha ^^)
Next to come : the weapons and finallythe finished pics of the build (when i'll have the left hand remade).

When looked at a certain angle, they kind of look like red chili peppers with a round handle lol....
And now the last pics of this thread, the finished model with her wepons equipped. I didn't took too many pictures coz the previous ones gave an already goo looked of how it would look like.
And that's it !! I'm already on my next build : Lightning from Final Fantasy Dissidia (can also be found at ACE-Papercraft)

Great work! I have just started on paper modeling and figures seem to be very daunting. Wonderful work though!

Excellent!! I don't know how I almost missed this. Excellent!! I like paper models of women. My wife looked at me a little funny when I started one. I asked her if she would be more comfortable with me making a guy? She still hasn't answered. I think she's jealous!!

I've just started building Lightning and even if Rikku does look good for a first paperdoll like this, now that i've gained some experience i'll do this one with less apparent folds.
I'll make a new thread with pics soon ^^
