Railfanning the Tehachapi (7 pictures)

Last Saturday I went to Tehachapi for a little bit of railfaning, and I thought that I would share a few pictures with you. It was a great day with a decent amount of traffic, but we did have a dead period of almost 2 hours right after we got there, so I was getting a bit nervous that I would see any trains, but fortunately it traffic picked up later, and I think I saw 10-15 trains, enough to keep me happy for some time.

Actually, when I first saw this picture I was thinking that it could be a good candidate to a "is it real or is it model" quiz, the mountains almost looks like a painted backdrop don't they?
