Bob,
I was looking at you pictures of your layout and wanted to ask you about the risers. What are they made of, how do determine how many to use, and how do you determine the grade?
I,ll watch for you pictures of you progress on you set.

John;

If you go to www.woodlandscenics.com and check out their website I'm sure you will find all the answers to your questions.

The risers come in thicknesses from a half inch to four inches, I believe. The inclines come in 2, 3 or 4 percent grades.

They have been very easy to work with for me, being a novice. What you do have to be careful to think through as you plan your layout is to deal in the vertical as well as the horizontal. Really, it is easy once the folks on the Gauge help you learn about the necessary clearances recommended (4" above another right of way, etc).

Let me know if you have more questions. I'm happy to help.

I'll post more pix if I ever get anything more done on the layout!

Bob
