PzKpfw VI Tiger Ausf. E /late/ "whittmann" printed kit review Model: PzKpfw VI Tiger Ausf. E /late/ "whittmann" Scale: 1:25 Publisher: GPM model # 271 SERIES H Designers: Grzegorz Pomorski, Katarzyna Ploszajska, Dariusz Ploszajski, Marcin Kusniar, Pawel Homerski Bought direct from gpm poland Printed kit http://gpm.pl/eng/index.php?akcja=produkt&edycja=3478 For the complete kit delivered to louisiana 75.09$us i will start with the negative there are only two the main gun barrel is not included (wood) i feel that since this kit has raised the bar in card models that because it was not included gives this kit a slight demerit!!! i really dont think it would hurt that much for gpm to offer the barrel in this kit since they have allready have a 99% kit here... (i even tried to buy it seperately but its out of stock) in one of the accesorie kits for the engine intake filters a laser cut out of the vent filters was missing from mine. however on mentioning this to gpm it was immediately rectified and they are drop shipping the parts to me.. with out any complants or charges... what a nice company! now for the positive this is a very nice kit well designed and printed the quality is very very high there are no registration errors through out the entire kit and the ink is well saturated in every color printed on every page. i am very impressed with the add on kits they have included with this model especially the engine intake filter kit including all of the kits really make the model shine in a professionally finished model ( if the builder dont squishy it) lol now here is my personal favorite of this kit it is the first time from a major publisher that i have found english instructions planned to be included in the kit not as a after thought. can you imagine my suprise as i turned to the last couple of pages and saw english sitting there... yeah i know alot of them are slipping in english translations on a seperate page, but this is showing that they majors are now acknowledging that there are finally enough english builders out there to justify this... that really made me smile!!! there is one final accesorie pack i did not purchase it is a laser engraved steel plate kit it adds 3d relief to the outside of the tank im not certian if i like it... the tank treads wow look at them close they really are a fine piece of work and i feel that they are fully justified for the cost, some people may say its cheating but with some one like me that takes a big hit from arthritis i cringe at thinking of doing it with a knife well i believe i have rambled on enough and will let the pictures speak for themselves from here on out besides i have to finish my orlik russian tank so i can start on this one and maybe i will even do a full kit review on it too thanks for continuing my interest in cardmodeling gpm!!!
