Woodie, Using a pulse modulated throttle makes older open frame motors behave in a better fashion, they lock onto the motor. Standard throttles just supply what I call lose power. The modern motors of today do not need a modulated throttle, especially the Kato and Atlas motors.
Also, using a pulse throttle makes motors run far too hot.
