Two smoking Norfolk Southern GE's lug local L95 south out of Butler, Indiana in July of 2002. This train has just crossed the former New York Central (now also Norfolk Southern) diamonds in Butler and is accelerating towards home. It works the former Wabash from New Haven, Indiana to Montpelier, Ohio. Main industries on this line include Protec Steel in St. Joe, Indiana and Chase Brass in Montpelier. Nikon N80, 28-80mm f/3.3-5.6 AF-G lens, Konica Centuria 200.

Because of my passion for old RR's, I couldn't resist photographing this D&RG 2-8-0 when I visited the Colorado Railroad Museum 6 yrs ago.
If any modellers find themselves in Denver I recommend they visit this museum which also houses a superb massive HO/HOn3 layout. It's located at Golden just west of Denver.

This is for Drew

I just love those SW1200's!!

This one, I was responsable to keep it in good shape. It was used as a back up, in case the steam engine died. We also used it to lift grain loads and spot MT's!

Just love the sound of the exhaust on these!! And speaking of exhaust, where is it?

That photo above was posted for Drew, as he placed the photo in the wrong section.

Hey drew, tell us all about it, where it was taken.

Competition is STIFF! Tightly cropped switchers and original photo's of steam engines from back when a lot of us were wearing three cornered pants, or even, as in my case, resebled a, erm tadpole and an egg. No fair for those of you who live near real live steamers! Great pics, gang!
