  2. Kudo's Carl,

I just downloaded your Atlas. Verrrrry nice indeed. I am anxious to start it. I am almost finished with the 1/4 Merc project as it is to date. Scott still has more designing to do. So I may slip this one in between. Thanks for another great model. Don't forget the OP-2E project????

Current build: 1/4 merc (wow this one is really cool)

    Carl,

I already downloaded your Atlas - again a very fine model. It will be one of my next projects. I´m very interested to built it because last year I made an aproach to design a Mercury Atlas too. I finished one beta version.

Will you design an Atlas Agena version too ? Would be a nice extra!!

    Carl and Company,

The Atlas is really beautiful. I really love the "Frosted" version.

What is the OP-2E ??? Tried looking for it, and found only the Lockheed Neptune aircraft. It does sound vaguely familiar though ...
  7. The OP2E is a converted P2V5 or SP2E. I was converted into a top secret airplane used to drop sound devices in Vietnam. The MAD tail extension was removed and machine guns added in the back. They lost 3 planes in a many month with heavy losses. The radome was also removed.

    Hi Carl,
In message #33 picture (#2 )you show part #14p going through part #14q base plate and extending beyond the bottom of the base plate #14q.

In the (#3 )picture it looks like you are showing a glue joint of part#14p to #14q. Do we cut off the #14p part even with the #14q base plate?

That's the way it looks in the next picture (#4) down.

    You are correct!

I dry fit Part 14p in place, and marked it with a pencil. Then I trimmed to be even with the bottom of 14q. I was going to print a cut line on the part, (But the distance may vary with the cuts a builder makes in part #14c, (To accommodate the the insertion of part #14p).

    Thanks,

    Carl

Thanks Carl for clearing up my Question. I'm sure I may have more as I go along. Please keep the build picture comming, they are quite helpful.
